Endure For a Cure
Endure for a Cure is a cycling ride organized by the Children's Cancer Institute that raises vital funds for childhood cancer research every year. The event is an endurance challenge, as riders can join in teams or as individuals to complete as many laps as possible in 12 hours while fundraising to help find a cure. Since 2014, the event has already raised over $2,000,000 for research and programs which has made an extraordinary impact in getting the CCI closer to one day curing all kids of cancer.
The 2020 edition of the ride took place on October 16th at the iconic Sydney Motorsport Park, a 4km traffic-free circuit track that is safe for all levels. As part of our partnership with the Children's Cancer Institute, we participated with a team of former athletes riding together to help raise funds for this cause. Together, we raised over AU$ 18,000 by the day of the event.
As the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer, CCI's role is vital. And despite their progress with research and treatment programs, cancer still kills more children than any other disease.
Their task is not easy – childhood cancer is hugely complex – but we’re confident that with the brightest brains, the best facilities, the greatest determination, and with as much support as they can get, they will get the job done.
It’s not if. It’s when.
